While I might not swim in this pool exactly, the ones that we do swim in are on either side of it. They have waterfalls and lion statue fountains and plamtrees along side of it.

Like our Bio-Dome in Montreal, they have a dome that houses local wildlife. These birds are incredible. Such colours, such sounds.... such bravery (on the part of the birds). |

The only thing that separated them from us was a small pane of glass on the boat. Apparently they can jump about 4 feet (1/2 their body length) so if they had reason to, they could have jumped INTO the boat.... |

I didn't even notice this guy at first - even though he is as big as my open hand. There was nothing separating it from us - the web was open. I don't think I want to know if it was poisonous or not. |

Apparently these birds are plaguing one of the towns around here because the cyclone destroyed their food. These Cassawary's are vital for the germination of certain trees as they digest the seeds and scatter them around. |
